Policies and Procedures:

• All participants must check in at the ticket booth to gain access to the track.
- First time users will be required to register, providing home address and email for schedule updates and usage information. Also fill out an Assumption of Risk Waiver.

• University community must show BSU Connect Card for access.

• Track users are restricted to the outer four lanes, 5, 6, 7 & 8 only, no field use.
- Track Mileage  Lane 5 3.78 Laps = 1 mile  Lane 6 3.72 Laps = 1mile  Lane 7 3.67 Laps = 1 mile  Lane 8 3.61 Laps = 1 mile

• The track is for running and walking only, (i.e. no bicycles, scooters, skateboards, children’s mini vehicles, baby carriages or tri- cycles, etc. are allowed).

• Use of the turf field surface is prohibited without prior permission from the Department of Athletics and Recreation or University Events.

• Alcohol, tobacco, sunflower seeds, and any beverages other than water are prohibited within the track fenced area.

• Personal belongings are not allowed within the track fence area.

• All trash should be disposed of in the proper trash receptacles.

• Participants must adhere to the directions of the track monitor and exit the area immediately upon instruction.

• It is the responsibility of the user to check posted hours periodically for changes and special holiday and institutional breaks. www.bsubears.com The Swenson Field and Track are the property of Bridgewater State University managed by the Department of Athletics and Recreation. Bridgewater State University and the Department of Athletics and Recreation reserve the right to change any policy or procedure at any time to preserve the integrity of the facility and its users. Violators of any of these policies and procedures will result in loss of the privilege to use the facility. Severe Weather Alerts: Three horn blasts indicates you must exit fields and seek shelter in vehicle. Under bleachers is not a safe shelter. Participants will not be allowed back on fields or track until 30 minutes after the last lightning strike.
