Naomi Cass Named MASCAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the third time this season, Bridgewater State University sophomore Naomi Cass has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week.

Cass placed seventh out of a field of 238 runners at the Suffolk Invitational held this past weekend at Franklin Park in Boston. The Westport, Massachusetts native covered the six-kilometer course in a time of 23:22.7 as she helped the Bears finish eighth in the team standings. 

Cass also earned the honor on September 19th and October 3rd for her performances, respectively, at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational and the Keene State Invitational.

The BSU women's cross country team is off until Friday, October 27th when the Bears compete at the MASCAC Championships hosted by Worcester State University at the Fort Devens Course in Devens, Massachusetts.
