BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the second time this season, Bridgewater State University sophomore Naomi Cass has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week.

Cass placed second out of a field of 184 runners this past weekend at the Keene State Invitational. The Westport, Massachusetts product covered the five-kilometer course in a time of 18:43.9 as she helped the Bears finish seventh in the team standings at the meet.

Cass also earned the honor on September 19th for her performance at the 50th Annual UMass Dartmouth Invitational.

The BSU women's cross country team is off until Saturday, October 14th when the Bears travel to Franklin Park in Boston for the Suffolk Invitational.
