BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- The Bridgewater State University men’s and women’s cross country teams began preparation for the 2022 season as roughly 30 student-athletes reported to campus Monday (Aug. 22) morning and hit the trails for the first time on Wednesday.

The 2022 campaign gets underway on Friday, September 2nd when the Bears travel to the Mark Coogan Cross Country Course in Attleboro, Massachusetts for the 8th Annual Wheaton & Babson Season Opener. The teams will also compete at the 49th Annual UMass Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday, September 17th and the 26th Annual James Earley Invitational out in Westfield on Saturday, October 8th.

The MASCAC Championships will take place on Saturday, October 29th at Stanley Park in Westfield, while Bowdoin College will host the Division III East Region Championships on Saturday, November 12th.
