BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the second time this season, Bridgewater State University junior Nicole Major has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Cross Country Rookie of the Week.

Major placed 69th out of field of 246 runners this past weekend at the 2022 NCAA Division III East Region Women's Cross Country Championships held at Bowdoin College. The Andover, Massachusetts product covered the six-kilometer course in a time of 24:38.4 as she helped the Bears finish 20th in the team standings.

Major also earned MASCAC Rookie of the Week honors on November 1st for her performance at the MASCAC Championships. She was named Runner of the Week back on October 11th for her performance at the 26th Annual James Earley Invitational.
