BRIDGEWATER, Mass. –Bridgewater State University freshman Julie Glavin has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women’s Cross Country Rookie of the Week.

Glavin Placed 18th out of a field of 73 runners at the Seventh Annual Bruce Kirsh Cup hosted by Franklin Pierce University this past weekend at the Hopkinton Fairgrounds. The Weymouth, Massachusetts product covered the five-kilometer course in a time of 20:32.1 as she helped the Bears place third in the seven-team meet which featured five Division II schools.

After a weekend off, members of the BSU women’s cross country team will compete at the NEICAAA Championships held at Franklin Park or the James Earley Invitational hosted by Westfield State University on Saturday, October 12th.
