Molly Rouillard Named MASCAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – For the second time this season and 14th time in her outstanding career, Bridgewater State University senior Molly Rouillard has been chosen as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week.

Rouillard paced the BSU women's cross country team at the James Earley Invitational as she finished third overall, covering the six-kilometer course in a time of 21:59.01.  The Dartmouth, Massachusetts native outdistanced the closest MASCAC competitor, host Westfield State's Amy Trainque, by more than a minute.

Rouillard garnered MASCAC Runner of the Week honors six times during her rookie season of 2010 and six more in 2011.  She was named as the MASCAC Runner of the Year in each of her first two seasons (2010, 2011), and was selected as the conference Rookie of the Year in 2010.

During the 2011-2012 academic year, Rouillard was voted to the Capital One Division III Academic All-District One Women's Track and Field/Cross Country Team by the College Sports Information Directors of America (Co-SIDA).  She also competed at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships, placing 12th in the 10,000-meter run.
