Rouillard Earns All-New England Honors, Advances to NCAA Championships

WESTFIELD, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University senior Molly Rouillard (Dartmouth, Mass.) placed seventh and earned All-New England honors at the 2012 Women's Cross Country New England Regional Championship meet held at Stanley Park in Westfield.  Rouillard will now advance to the NCAA Division III Championships which will be held next Saturday at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course in Terre Haute, Indiana.

Rouillard covered the six-kilometer Stanley Park course in a time of 21:47.36.  Keri Lambert of Amherst College won the meet with a time of 20:48.94.

Bridgewater State placed 26th in the team standings. MIT won the women's team title followed by Williams College in second place and Middlebury College in third.

Rouillard is the Bears first women's runner to advance to the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships since Nicole Mauro in 2007.

Freshman Danielle Poto (North Andover, Mass.) was next across the line for the Bears as she placed 117th with a time of 24:01.49.  Freshman Samantha Pinkham (Hingham, Mass.) finished 164th in a time of 24:53.87.
