Women's Cross Country Places Fourth at Alliance Championships

KEENE, NH -- The Bridgewater State College women's cross country team placed fourth at the New England Alliance Championships held at Keene State College on Saturday.

Juniors Amanda Hauswirth (Methuen, MA) and Jessica Eidinger (Sutton, MA) and sophomore Sarah Lagasse (Rehoboth, MA) finished 14th, 15th and 16th respectively to earn All-New England Alliance honors.  Hauswirth covered the five kilometer course in a time of 20:40, while Eidinger finished in 20:45 and Lagasse was right behind at 20:47.

Host Keene State College captured the women's team championship, while Westfield State senior Kerry Arouca (18:41) successfully defended her individual title.
