OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. -- The Bridgewater State University volleyball team posted a record of 1-2 at the Old Westbury Panther Invitational over the weekend.

The Bears dropped a 3-2 decision to Ramapo College on Saturday before losing to Montclair State, 3-1, in their first match on Sunday.  Bridgewater capped off the two-day tournament with a 3-0 victory over host Old Westbury.

The Bears first match of the invitational on Saturday against SUNY Maritime, was not played and is considered a no contest.

Junior outside hitter Danielle Dean (Gilford, N.H.) was named to the All-Tournament Team as she averaged 8.0 kills, 12.7 digs, 1.7 blocks and 1.3 aces over the three games.  Dean notched ten kills, 19 digs, three aces and three assisted blocks versus Ramapo; eight kills, 16 digs, and two assisted blocks against Montclair State; and six kills, an ace and three digs in the win over Old Westbury.

In upcoming action, Bridgewater host Salem State University on Tuesday night at six. The game marks the home and conference opener for the Bears.
