Boston, Mass. -- The Emerson College volleyball team posted a 3-0 victory over visiting Bridgewater State University on Thursday night.

The Lions won by scores of 25-14, 25-20 and 25-19 to push their record to 8-3 on the year.  Bridgewater slips to 3-10.  There were seven ties and four lead changes in the second game of the match.

Freshman middle hitter Kat Rice (Delmar, N.Y.) led the way for Emerson as she recorded seven kills as well as a .545 hitting percentage. Senior setters Kathleen Bailey (Calabasas, Calif.) and Jessica Drumright (San Francisco, Calif.) finished with 15 assists apiece, while sophomore Brandy Eggermann (Sauk Village, IL) tallied 14 digs and three aces.

Freshman Sarah Mullarkey (Salem, Mass.) paced the visitors with four kills, five aces, four digs and a solo block.  Sophomore setter Melanie Appleman (Hyannis, Mass.) added 11 assists, while classmate Tayler Beck (Marion, Mass.) notched five kills.
