WESTFIELD, Mass. -- Number two seed Bridgewater State swept third seeded Worcester State in the semifinal round of the 2010 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Volleyball Tournament on Saturday afternoon in Westfield.

Bridgewater won by set scores of 25-11, 25-15 and 25-17 as junior middle hitter Shelly DePina (New Bedford, Mass.) led the way with 14 kills and three blocks.

Senior setter Natalie Cohen (Marstons  Mills, Mass.) added 28 assists, two block and an ace, while classmate Julie Clerc (Acushnet, Mass.) chipped in with seven kills, seven digs and a pair of aces.

The Bears will take on top seeded Westfield State for the tournament championship at 3:00 PM this afternoon.  The host Owls defeated number four MCLA, 3-1, in the other semifinal match.
