Eastern Connecticut Box Score | Johnson & Wales Box Score

WILLIMANTIC, Conn. -- The Bridgewater State College volleyball team lost a pair of matches during day one action of the Eastern Connecticut State University Crabtree Classic on Friday.  The Bears dropped a 3-1 decision to host Eastern Connecticut before bowing to Johnson & Wales University, 3-0.

Sophomore Julie Clerc (Acushnet, MA) registered 27 kills in BSC's two matches including 21 in the loss to Eastern Connecticut. 

Fellow sophomore Natalie Cohen (Marstons Mills, MA) recorded an impressive 41 assists against ECSU, while junior Brianne Cobb (New Bedford, MA) notched 18 digs and sophomore middle hitter Laura Babij (Montague, MA) added six kills.

Junior outside hitter Alyssa Grimes (Acushnet, MA) paced the Bears with nine kills in the loss to Johnson & Wales.

BSC (4-14) takes on Bates College at 10 AM on Saturday followed by a 12:30 match against the University of New England.
