BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State College senior middle hitter Kelsey Collasius (Rochester, MA) was selected as the Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Volleyball Player of the Year for the second straight season to highlight the All-MASCAC Volleyball Team which was recently announced.

Joining Collasius on the All-MASCAC First Team from Bridgewater State was senior setter Erica Kelley (Billerica, MA) who is making her first appearance on the all-conference team.

Collasius, who was selected to the All-MASCAC Team for the fourth consecutive season, wrapped up her brilliant career at Bridgewater State as the Bears' all-time leader in kills with 1,762.  She led the MASCAC this season in kills (559), kills per game (4.33) and hitting percentage (.324), and finished second in total blocks (163).

During the course of her four seasons at BSC, Collasius captured MASCAC Player of the Week honors an amazing 10 times, including six this season alone.  Along with her career kills mark, Collasius leaves Bridgewater State as the Bears single-game and single-season record holder for kills.  She notched 32 kills in a 2006 match versus Westfield State, and finished the 2006 campaign with 597 kills.  Her 2007 total of 559 kills is second on the Bears' all-time list.

Kelley led the MASCAC in assists with 1,182 which is third highest single-season total in BSC volleyball history.  This season she became just the fourth player in program history to reach the 2,000-assist milestone as she finished her outstanding career with 2,010 assists.

Bridgewater wrapped up the 2007 season with a record of 17-20.  The Bears captured the MASCAC Tournament title and advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament for the ninth consecutive year.
