Connor Foley was named the head coach of the Bridgewater State cross country and track & field programs in August of 2018.

Connor, who hails from Foxborough, Massachusetts, is a 2015 graduate of Bridgewater State where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. Following graduation, Connor served two years as a graduate assistant for compliance and operations at Franklin Pierce University as well as an assistant coach for cross country and track & field. He earned his Master of Business Administration degree in Sports Management from Franklin Pierce in 2017.

Connor returned to his alma mater in 2017 as an assistant coach for the men’s and women’s track & field teams as he worked with the hurdlers and high jumpers.

During his undergraduate career at BSU, Connor was a four-year member of the Bears’ men’s track & field teams. He captained both the indoor and outdoor squads during his junior and senior seasons. A distance runner, Connor captured the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) title in the 3000-meter steeplechase at the league's outdoor championships as a senior, before running his career-best time in the event at the New England Championships. His work during the 2015 outdoor season helped the BSU men's track & field team earn their third straight New England Alliance crown. Connor capped off his career by being selected to the CoSIDA/Capital One Academic All-America Third Team.

In the classroom, Connor was named to the MASCAC All-Academic Team as well as the Bridgewater State Dean's List in each of his eight semesters on campus. At the conclusion of his senior year, he was honored with the BSU Athletics Student Leadership Award.
