BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the fourth time this season, Bridgewater State University graduate student Alison McDonough has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week.

McDonough garnered All-New England honors in a pair of events this past weekend at the Division III New England Indoor Track & Field Championships held at The Track at New Balance. The Halifax, Massachusetts product placed second in the 60-meter hurdles with a career-best time of 8.77 seconds, and finished fifth in the finals of the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.82 seconds.

McDonough is currently tied for 15th in all of Division III in the hurdles and first in the East Region.

The MASCAC Track Athlete of the Week distinction marks the 14th of McDonough's career including nine indoor distinctions.

Qualifying members of the BSU women's track & field team with compete on Friday and Saturday at the NEICAAA Indoor Track & Field Championships also held at The Track at New Balance. Select Bears may compete at the Tufts Qualifying Meet on Saturday.
