All-MASCAC Women's Outdoor Track & Field

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- After finishing first in their individual event or relay this past weekend at the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Championships, seven different Bridgewater State University student-athletes have been officially named to the 2024 All-MASCAC Women's Outdoor Track & Field Team.

Earning the honor for the Bears are Naomi Cass (Westport, Mass.) in both the 1,500-meter run and 5,000-meter run; Jailene Escalera (Rockland, Mass.) in the 100-meter dash as well as the 200-meter dash; Kiara Abrantes (Somerset, Mass.) in the 400-meter dash; Natalie Kalgren (Ayer, Mass.) in the javelin; Charlie Katz (West Yarmouth, Mass.) in the hammer throw; Alison McDonough (Halifax, Mass.) in the 100-meter hurdles; and Serenity Sands (East Bridgewater, Mass.) in the high jump.

The BSU women's outdoor track & field team placed second at the MASCAC Championships.

Cass (1,500), Escalera (100, 200), Abrantes (200, 400), McDonough (100H, LJ), and Sands (HJ, LJ) will compete on Friday and Saturday at the Division III New England Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Mount Holyoke College.
