NEW LONDON, Conn. – Three members of the Bridgewater State University women's outdoor track & field team competed during day one of the Silfen Invitational hosted by Connecticut College.

Sophomore Naomi Cass (Westport, Mass.) placed third in the 5,000-meter run with a PR time of 17:47.05.

Senior Nicole Major (Andover, Mass.) finished 15th in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:32.28, while junior Natalie Kalgren (Ayer, Mass.) checked in at 31st in the discus throw with a collegiate-best mark of 71 feet, two inches (21.69m).

The two-day Silfen Invitation continues on Saturday.
