GENEVA, Ohio -- Bridgewater State University graduate student Jayci Andrews (Plymouth, Mass.) advanced to the finals of the 400-meter hurdles on Thursday afternoon at the 2022 NCAA Division III Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships held at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio.
Andrews completed the race in 1:00.28 as she posted the third fastest time in Thursday's preliminaries behind only Birgen Nelson (59.46) of Gustavus Adolphus College and Emma Lawrence (1:00.16) of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
Andrews was just 2/10 of a second off her school record time of 1:00.08 set at the 2019 NCAA Championships.
The finals of the 400-meter hurdles will take place on Saturday afternoon at 2:15 PM. Andrews is seeded fourth in the finals as she placed second in her preliminary heat.
