NEW LONDON, Conn. -- Four Bridgewater State University student-athletes competed on Friday night during the Elite Distance portion of the Silfen Invitational hosted by Connecticut College.
Graduate student Trevor Wysong (Taunton, Mass.) placed ninth in the 5,000-meter run with a career-best time of 14:44.46.
Sophomore Nicole Major (Andover, Mass.) finished 20th in the 800-meter run with a season-best time of 2:28.44.
Junior Julie Glavin (Weymouth, Mass.) finished 22nd in the 800-meter run with a season-best time of 2:29.52.
Freshman Kevin McBirney (East Bridgewater, Mass.) finished 27th in the 800-meter run with a season-best time of 1:58.47.
On Saturday, the BSU outdoor track & field teams will compete at the Jerry Gravel Classic hosted by Westfield State University.
