BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the second straight week and third time this season, Bridgewater State University senior Jenise Madden has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week.

Madden captured top honors in the 3,000-meter run this past weekend at the Plymouth State Panther Invitational with a personal-best time of 10:26.01. The Milford, Massachusetts product helped the Bears post a second place finish in the team standings at the meet.

Madden currently ranks 15th in New England in the 5,000-meter run and 23rd in the 3,000. She is also 40th in all of Division III in the 5,000.

The MASCAC Track Athlete of the Week honor marks the fourth of Madden’s career and third indoor distinction. She is also a four-time recipient of the MASCAC Cross Country Runner of the Week award.

The BSU indoor track & field teams are back in action on Saturday (Feb. 15) when they compete at the MASCAC Championships held at Smith College.
