Follow the Progress of Andrews & Gilbreath at NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Follow the progress of Bridgewater State University juniors Jayci Andrews (Plymouth, Mass.) and Kira Gilbreath (West Haven, Utah) as they compete at the 2018 NCAA Division III Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

The national championship meet will be held from Thursday, May 24th through Saturday, May 26th at the Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

Andrews, who is making her fourth appearance at an NCAA Division III Track & Field championship meet, is seeded sixth in the 100-meter hurdles and 11th in the 400-meter hurdles. She recorded her qualifying and BSU school-record time of 14.27 seconds in the 100 hurdles at the MIT Last Chance Qualifier on May 17th. Andrews also posted her qualifying and school-record time of 1:01.37 in the 400 hurdles at the NEICAAA Championships on May 11th.

Gilbreath, who is making her first appearance at the NCAA Track & Field Championships, is seeded 16th in the shot put. She recorded her qualifying and BSU school-record mark of 44 feet, 10.25 inches (13.67) at the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Championships on April 28th.

The preliminary race of the 400-meter hurdles is slated to take place on Thursday afternoon at 4:15 PM (EDT) with the finals scheduled for Saturday at 3:25 PM (EDT). The preliminaries of the 100-meter hurdles will take place at approximately 4:30 PM (EDT) on Friday afternoon with the finals on Saturday at 2:00 PM (EDT). The shot put is expected to get underway on Friday afternoon at 2:00 PM (EDT).
