CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University senior Samantha Richner (Hanson, Mass.) competed in the pentathlon at the Harvard Multi Meet on Friday.
Richner recorded a score of 2,778 points over four events, but was unable to compete in the long jump due to an injury.
Richner placed fourth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:31.63 and tied for fourth in the high jump with a leap of five feet, 4.25 inches (1.63m). She also finished fifth in the shot put (34'3.5"/10.45m) and tenth in the 60-meter hurdles (9.67).
Richner's highest scoring event was the 60-meter hurdles as she posted a score of 775 points. She also tallied 771 points in the high jump, 673 points in the 800 and 559 points in the shot put.
