Krevosky Leads Women's Track & Field at NEICAAA Championships

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Junior Ariele Krevosky (Oxford, Mass.) garnered All-NEICAAA honors in the 100-meter hurdles to lead the Bridgewater State University women's outdoor track & field team during the second and final day of the 2015 New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association (NEICAAA) Championships hosted by MIT.

Krevosky placed seventh in the hurdles with a finals time of 15.08 seconds. On Friday, Krevosky was fifth in the preliminaries with a school record-tying time of 14.80 seconds.

Freshman Tori O'Dea (South Dennis, Mass.) added an eighth place performance in the heptathlon to earn All-NEICAAA accolades. O'Dea, the only Division III student-athlete in the event, posted an overall score of 3,539 points. Her top event on Saturday was the 800-meter run (2:29.90) with a tally of 694 points.

Sophomore Samantha Richner (Hanson, Mass.) finished 13th in the high jump with a leap of five feet, three inches (1.60 meters).

Krevosky, Richner, and sophomores Alexa Hambly (Middleboro, Mass.) and Traci Perry (Middleboro, Mass.) tied the BSU outdoor mark in the 4x100-meter relay with a time of 49.82 seconds. The foursome equaled the record set by teammate Ashley Aldred (Saugus, Mass.), Laura McHughCaitlin DiLorenzo and Michelle Atkins in 2013.

The Bears finished tied for 34th place (3 pts.) in the team standings. Southern Connecticut State University captured the meet title with 72 points, followed by MIT (68 pts.) and the University of New Haven (63 pts.) and Boston College (63 pts.).

Next weekend, qualifying members of the BSU track & field teams will compete at the ECAC Division III Championships hosted by Springfield College.
