Krevosky Ties 33-Year Old Hurdle Mark at NEICAAA Championships

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Junior Ariele Krevosky (Oxford, Mass.) equaled a 33-year old school record to lead the Bridgewater State University women's outdoor track & field team during day one of the New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association (NEICAAA) Championships hosted by MIT.

Krevosky placed fifth in the preliminaries of the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.80 seconds as she tied the school mark set by Terry Rush in 1982. Krevosky will now advance to Saturday's finals in the event.

Freshman Tori O'Dea (South Dennis, Mass.) is in eighth place in the heptathlon with a score of 2,035 points after four events. O'Dea, the only Division III heptathlete at the meet,posted times of 16.60 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles and 28.98 seconds in the 200-meter dash.  She also record a mark of four feet, 4.75 inches (1.34 meters) in the high jump, and a distance of 25 feet, 8.25 inches (7.83 meters) in the shot put. O'Dea recorded scores of 642 points in the hurdles, 556 points in the 200, 449 points in the high jump and 388 points in the shot.

Junior Emily Ducharme (North Attleboro, Mass.) finished 21st overall in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 40:17.20.

The NEICAAA Championship meet will conclude on Saturday.
