Poto, Krevosky Lead Women's Track & Field at ECAC Championships

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- Junior Danielle Poto (North Andover, Mass.) earned All-ECAC honors and classmate Ariele Krevosky (Oxford, Mass.) set a school record to lead the Bridgwater State University women's outdoor track & field team during day one of the 2015 ECAC Division III Championships on Thursday hosted by Springfield College.

Poto placed eighth in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 38:22.80. The top eight placewinners in each event garnerer All-ECAC accolades.

Krevosky finished seventh in the preliminaries of the 100-meter hurdles and advanced to Friday's finals with a BSU record time of 14.75 seconds. She eclipsed the previous mark of 14.80 seconds set by Terry Rush in 1982 and equaled by Krevosky last weekend at the NEICAAA Championships.

Senior Krysta Zbikowski (Ashburnham, Mass.) placed 19th in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 11:49.34, while the Bears' 4x400-meter relay squad of senior Ashley Aldred (Saugus, Mass.) and sophomores Amanda Lane (Abington, Mass.), Traci Perry (Middleboro, Mass.) and Sabrina Rizzo (Peabody, Mass.) finished 18th with a time of 4:04.07.

The ECAC championship meet continues on Friday with field events getting underway at 11:00 AM and track events beginning at noon.
