Women's Track & Field Competes at Day Two of ECAC Championships

TROY, N.Y. -- Qualifying members of the Bridgewater State University women's outdoor track & field team competed during day two of the 2014 ECAC Division III Championships hosted by RPI on Friday.

Ariele Krevosky (Oxford, Mass.) placed 15th in the long jump with a personal best leap of 17 feet, 5.5 inches (5.32 meters).

Samantha Richner (Hanson, Mass.) tied for 12th in the high jump (5'2.5"/1.59m), while Veronica Wiggins (Pawtucket, R.I.) finished 18th in the shot put (36'6.75"/11.14m).

The Bears' relay squad of Laura McHugh (Mansfield, Mass.), Michelle Atkins (Chelsea, Mass.), Caitlin DiLorenzo (Seekonk, Mass.) and Traci Perry (Middleboro, Mass.) placed 37th in the 4x100 with a time of 51.46 seconds.

Richner is currently ranked among the top 20 high jumpers in all of Division III.  The top 22 in each individual event advance to the NCAA Division III Championships which will take place next week at Ohio Welseyan University.  Official seeds will be announced by the NCAA on ncaa.com on Sunday monring at 9:00 AM (ET).
