SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Sophomore Danielle Poto (North Andover, Mass.) earned All-New England honors to lead the Bridgewater State University women's outdoor track & field team during day one of the 2014 Division III New England Championships hosted by Springfield College.

Poto posted a time of 39:50.19 in the 10,000-meter run to finish seventh in the event.  The top eight place-winners in each individual event garner All-New England status.

Fellow sophomore Ariele Krevosky (Oxford, Mass.) finished ninth in the long jump with a leap of 16 feet, 11.25 inches (5.16 meters), while classmate Juliana Keene (Norton, Mass.) placed 12th in the javelin with a distance of 107 feet, five inches (32.75 meters).

Senior Melissa Chiasson (Maynard, Mass.) finished 13th in the hammer throw with a toss of 140 feet, eight inches (42.88 meters).

The New England Division III Championship meet will conclude on Saturday.
