NEW YORK CITY, N.Y. -- Five school records were broken as the the Bridgewater State University track and field teams competed at the ECAC Division III Indoor Championships held at the New York City Armory.

Senior Carrie Robitaille (Ludlow, Mass.) broke her own school record in the pentathlon as she posted a score of 2,962 points.  Robitaille placed sixth in the event and earned All-ECAC honors as she eclipsed her previous BSU indoor standard of 2,938 points set last season.

Robitaille placed fourth in the long jump (16'0.25"), fifth in the high jump (5'0.50"), sixth in the 800-meter run (2:30.28), ninth in the 60-meter hurdles (10.01 seconds) and 11th in the shot put (24'9.00").

Seniors Sarah Lagasse (Rehoboth, Mass.), Co Davis (Mansfield, Mass.) and Melissa Harris (Uxbridge, Mass.) and junior Molly Rouillard (Dartmouth, Mass.) broke their own BSU indoor mark in the distance medley relay with a time of 12:14.74.  They bettered their previous record of 12:15.74 set earlier this season and posted an 11th place finish in the event.

The women's 4 x 200 relay record also fell as junior Mychal-Lynne Folsom (Rockland, Mass.) sophomores Karen Anselmi (Franklin, Mass.) and Laura McHugh (Mansfield, Mass.) and freshman Ashley Aldred (Saugus, Mass.) placed 24th with a time of 1:49.82.  They eclipsed the previous standard of 1:50.37 set earlier this season.

On the men's side, junior Michael McPherson (Mansfield, Mass.) continued to tack on to his shot put record as he earned All-New England honors with a toss of 50 feet, 11.50 inches.  McPherson grabbed fifth place in the event as he surpassed his previous mark of 50 feet, 4.50 inches.

Junior Stephen Wahome (Lowell, Mass.) bettered his school 5,000-meter run record by three seconds as he posted a time of 14:54.12 to finish 11th in the event.  His previous personal best time of 14:57.29 was also accomplished this season.
