Women's Track & Field Competes at Roxbury CC Tiger Open

BOSTON, Mass. -- The Bridgewater State University women's indoor track and field team competed at the Roxbury Community College Tiger Open held on Saturday evening at the Reggie Lewis Center.

Junior Molly Rouillard (Dartmouth, Mass.) captured first place in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 10:30.06.  She also qualified for both the New England Division III and ECAC Division III championship meets.

Senior Carrie Robitaille (Ludlow, Mass.) qualified for the New England Division III Championships in the long jump as she posted a distance of 16 feet, 3.75 inches (4.97 meters).  Robitaille placed second in both the long jump and the 55-meter hurdles (9.35 seconds) at the meet.

Senior Sarah Lagasse (Rehoboth, Mass.) finished second behind Rouillard in the 3,000 with a time of 10:52.21.

The BSU indoor track and field teams are back in action on Saturday, January 21st when they compete at the Wesleyan Invitational.
