MEDFORD, Mass. -- Junior Carrie Robitaille (Ludlow, Mass.) placed fourth out of eight competitors in the pentathlon in day one action of the Tufts Invitational II on Friday evening at the Gantcher Center in Medford.

Robitaille registered a score of 2,539 points as she placed second in the long jump (4.68m), fourth in the 800-meter run (2:40.06), sixth in the 60-meter hurdles (10.32 seconds) and high jump (1.41m), and seventh in the shot put (6.72m).

Earlier this season at the MIT Alumnae Meet, Robitaille set the BSU indoor mark in the pentathlon with a score of 2,751 points.

The Tufts Invitational II will continue on Saturday morning with events getting underway at 10:30.
