Robitaille, Rouillard Set School Marks at Terrier Invitational

BOSTON, Mass. -- Juniors Carrie Robitaille (Ludlow, Mass.) and Molly Rouillard (Dartmouth, Mass.) each set school indoor marks as the Bridgewater State University women's track and field team competed at the Boston University Terrier Invitational on Friday.

Robitaille broke her own record in the triple jump with a leap of 34 feet, 10.5 inches as she eclipsed her previous best of 34 feet, 7.5 inches set earlier this season at the Harvard Open.  Robitailled placed 12th in the event.

Rouillard posted a time of 5:15.79 in the mile, breaking teammate Sarah Lagasse's previous school standard of 5:16.40 set in 2010. Rouillard, who finished 31st at the meet, bettered her personal best time by more than 15 seconds.  She also qualified for the New England Division III Championship meet and the ECAC Division III Championships.

Junior Co Davis (Mansfield, Mass.) added a 20th place finish in the 500-meter run (1:19.75), while senior Jessica Eidinger (Sutton, Mass.) crossed the line 23rd in the 1,000-meter run (3:14.14).

Rouillard, Davis, Lagasse and freshman Malgorzata Czerwonka (Billerica, Mass.) also broke the BSU indoor mark in the distance medley relay with a time of 12:58.24.  The foursome eclipsed the previous mark of 13:19.17 set in 2010 by Eidinger, Lagasse, Robitaille and sophomore Taylor Smith (Cumberland, R.I.).

The indoor schedule continues for the Bears when they compete at the Tufts Stampede on Saturday, February 5th.
