Lagasse Propels Women's Indoor Track At Jay Carisella Invitational

Boston, Mass. --- Junior Sarah Lagasse (Rehoboth, MA) timed fourth in the 1,000 meter run (3:08.9) to qualify for the ECAC Championships as she helped lead the women's indoor track team at the non scoring Jay Carisella Invitational hosted by Northeaster at the Reggie Lewis Center.

The meet primarily featured Division I New England teams as there were also some Division II and other Division III teams as well.

Junior Co Davis (Mansfield, MA) also stamped her ticket for the Division III New England Championships as she crossed the finish line in fourth in the 400 (1:00.86). Individually, senior Jessica Eidinger (Sutton, MA) had a top 10 finish with eighth in the 1,000 (3:15.37).

The 4x400 meter relay team had a solid day as they clocked 4:08.73 in fourth, just 22 tenths of a second off the program record.

Junior Carrie Robitaille (Ludlow, MA) came in 10th in three events which included the 55 meter hurdles (9.38), the long jump (16-01.50), while she tied in the triple jump (32-11.75). Junior Molly Rouillard (Dartmouth, MA) added 10th in the mile (5:32.84) as freshman Malgorzata Czerwonka (Billerica, MA) notched 10th in the 800 (2:31.20).

Freshman Karen Anselmi (Franklin, MA) rounded out the runners with 13th in the 400 (1:04.02).

Senior Brittany Paige (Winthrop, MA) highlighted the throwers with 14th in the weight throw (38-00) and 21st in the shot put (32-05.50).

Next week the Bears will compete in their last meet of 2010 with the Harvard Open.
