GORHAM, Maine -- The Bridgewater State College women's track and field team competed at the New England Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday afternoon at the University of Southern Maine.
Sophomore Co Davis (Mansfield, MA) was the top individual placewinner for the Bears as she finished 13th in the 600-meter run with a time of 1:42.72. Freshman Kylie Almeida (Somerset, MA) also competed in the 600 as she grabbed the 21st spot with a personal-best time of 1:45.63.
Sophomore Carrie Robitaille (Ludlow, MA) placed 17th in the 55-meter hurdles (9.33), while sophomore Sarah Lagasse (Rehoboth, MA) was 18th (5:27.74) and junior Jessica Eidinger (Sutton, MA) finished 22nd (5:32.08) in the one-mile run.
Freshman Taylor Smith (Cumberland, RI) posted a 25th place showing in the 55-meter dash (7.88) and finished 26th in the triple jump (30'8.25").
The Bears 4 x 400-meter relay squad of Davis, Almeida, Lagassea and Smith placed 13th in the event (4:15.25). Eidinger, juniors Carissa Penney (Gardner, MA) and Brittany Robinson (Gardner, MA), and sophomore Melissa Harris (Uxbridge, MA) finished 14th in the 4 x 800-meter relay (10:14.97).
