Bouchard, Mullane Compete at ECAC Outdoor Track Championships

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- Senior Avery Bouchard (Fall River, MA) and freshman Kerry Mullane (Cumberland, RI) competed at the Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships held at Springfield College on Thursday and Friday.

Bouchard competed in the 10,000-meter run but was unable to finish the race as he dropped out after two miles due to injury.  Bouchard provisionally qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships in the event earlier this season.

Mullane, who also competed on the BSC volleyball team in the fall, finished 16th in the javelin as she posted a distance of 108'6.00".

For the women's events, Moravian College compiled a total of 67 points to capture the team championship.  Carbini College finished in second place with 60 points followed by MIT with 58 points. Bridgewater State did not place in the women's meet.

Moravian also won the men's title with a total of 64.5 points, followed by RIT with 45 points. Ithaca and RPI were tied for third place with 36 points. Bridgewater also did not place in the men's team scoring.
