BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the second straight week and eighth time this season, Bridgewater State University sophomore Cailey Simard has been selected as the Little East Conference (LEC) Women's Diver of the Week.

Simard swept the diving events in the Bears' meet at Babson College this past weekend as she posted a season-best score of 295.90 points on the one-meter board as well as 298.45 points on the three-meter. The Haverhill, Massachusetts native also placed second in both diving events in the Bears' meet at Division II Bentley University with scores of 276.53 points on the one-meter board and 218.85 points on the three-meter.

Simard currently ranks 25th in all of Division III on the one-meter board for a six-dive event and ninth on the three-meter. She is also seventh in all of Division III on the one-meter for an 11-dive event.

The LEC Diver of the Week honor marks the 16th of Simard's career. She also garnered the accolade eight times as a rookie in 2022-2023.

The BSU swimming & diving teams are back in the pool on Friday evening when the Bears host Little East rival Eastern Connecticut State University at five o'clock.
