BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the seventh time this season, Bridgewater State University sophomore Cailey Simard has been selected as the Little East Conference (LEC) Women's Diver of the Week.

Simard captured top honors and broke her own school record in the one-meter diving competition this past weekend at a tri-meet hosted by Brandeis University. The Haverhill, Massachusetts product posted an 11-dive score of 454.00 points as she eclipsed her previous mark of 436.70 points set last season at the Little East Championships.

Simard is currently ranked seventh in all of Division III on the one-meter board for an 11-dive event. She is also eighth in Division III on the three-meter board (306.45 pts.) and 24th on the one-meter (290.50 pts.) for a six-dive event.

The LEC Diver of the Week honor marks the 15th of Simard's career. She also garnered the accolade eight times as a rookie in 2022-2023.

The BSU swimming & diving teams are back in the pool on Thurday night when the Bears travel to Bentley University for a six o'clock meet with the Division II Falcons.
