BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the sixth time this season, Bridgewater State University sophomore Cailey Simard has been selected as the Little East Conference (LEC) Women's Diver of the Week.

Simard swept the diving events and broke her own school record in the three-meter diving competition to lead the Bears to a first place finish this past weekend at the BSU Invitational.

The Haverhill, Massachusetts native posted a score of 306.45 points on the three-meter board to eclipse her previous BSU standard of 305.75 points set last season (Jan. 28). She also posted a winning score of 284.55 points on the one-meter plank.

Simard is currently ranked seventh in all of Division III on the three-meter board and 17th on the one-meter for a six-dive event.

The LEC Diver of the Week honor marks the 14th of Simard's career. She also garnered the accolade eight times as a rookie in 2022-2023.

The BSU swimming and diving teams are off until Saturday, January 20th (noon) when the Bears travel to Brandeis University for a tri-meet with the host Judges and Keene State College.
