Emily Bradford Named Little East Women's Rookie Swimmer of the Week

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the second time this season, Bridgewater State University freshman Emily Bradford has been selected as the Little East Conference (LEC) Women's Rookie Swimmer of the Week.

Bradford was the first to touch the wall in the 500 freestyle as she recorded a collegiate-best time of 5:48.88 this past weekend at the BSU Invitational. The Pittsfield, Massachusetts product also placed second in the 50 freestyle (2:13.04) and fourth in the 50 breaststroke (36.62) as she helped the Bears post a first-place finish at the meet. 

Bradford also earned Little East Rookie Swimmer of the Week honors on November 21st.

The BSU women's swimming and diving team is off until Saturday, January 21th when the Bears host a tri-meet with Brandeis University and Keene State College at one o'clock.
