22 Bears Named to NEISDA Spring All-Academic Team

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Twenty-two members of the Bridgewater State University men's and women's swimming & diving teams have earned selection to the 2020 New England Intercollegiate Swimming & Diving Association (NEISDA) Spring All-Academic Team.

In order for a swimmer or diver to make the NEISDA Spring All-Academic Team, the student-athlete must have a semester (spring 2020) grade point average of 3.50 or higher.

Seniors Madison Damphousse (Marshfield, Mass.), Jane Meyrick (Scituate, Mass.), Adi Tobias (North Attleboro, Mass.) and Alexa Wilson (Centerville, Mass.); juniors Allison Hunt (Norton, Mass.) and Katie Werra (East Taunton, Mass.); sophomores Ripley Devers (North Attleboro, Mass.), Jordyn Maxim (Lakeville, Mass.), Gabriella Rivera (Hanover, Mass.) and Danielle Vissering (North Andover, Mass.); and freshmen Kelly Burns (Natick, Mass.), Sarah Egan (Foxboro, Mass.), Alex Molinari (Chelmsford, Mass.) and Angelina Vuong (Rockland, Mass.) garnered all-academic accolades for the women's team.

On the men's side, seniors Trevor Amador (Mansfield, Mass.), Cameron Carnese (Framingham, Mass.), Timucin Marino (East Greenwich, R.I.) and Dylon Willis (Attleboro, Mass.); sophomore Bryan Abbott (Taunton, Mass.); and freshmen Chris Anastasiades (Wakefield, Mass.), Thomas Scalese (Chelmsford, Mass.) and Amaan Shaikh (Billerica, Mass.) all collected the honor.

All told, 267 student-athletes from 21 different schools earned distinction on the 2020 NEISDA Spring All-Academic Team.
