Women’s Swimming & Diving Earns Five All-NEISDA Honors on Final Day of 2020 NEISDA Championships

KINGSTON, R.I. – The Bridgewater State University women's swimming & diving team picked up five All-NEISDA accolades during the fourth and final day of the 2020 New England Intercollegiate Swimming & Diving Association (NEISDA) Championships on Sunday at the URI Tootell Aquatic Center.

Senior Mackenzie Coogan (Assonet, Mass.) broke the school record in the 100 freestyle as she placed fifth in the event with a time of 54.61 seconds. Coogan eclipsed the previous BSU standard of 54.84 seconds set by Lindsay Devereaux in 2005.

Sophomore Selin Marino (East Greenwich, R.I.) placed sixth in the 1,650 freestyle with a time of 19:06.19, while freshman Hannah Geoffrion (Barnstable, Mass.) finished seventh in the 200 butterfly (2:28.42) and senior Adi Tobias (North Attleboro, Mass.) finished eighth in the 50 backstroke (29.25). Junior Allison Hunt (Norton, Mass.) rounded out the Bears' All-NEISDA performers with an eighth-place finish in the 100 individual medley (1:05.62).

The Bears finished in fourth place in the team standings at the four-day championship meet with 743.5 points.
