Women's Swimming & Diving Drops 154-101 Decision to Roger Williams

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Sophomore Taylor Brochu (Cotuit, Mass.) won a pair of individual events to lead the Bridgewater State University women's swimming & diving team versus Roger Williams University on Saturday evening at the Dr. Mary Jo Moriarty Pool.

Roger Williams won the meet by a score of 154-101.

Brochu placed first in both the 50 backstroke (31.03) and 100 backstroke (1:05.98) events.  She also swam a leg on the Bears' winning 400 freestyle relay team (3:46.65) along with classmate Kristen Carey (East Taunton, Mass.) and juniors Chelsea Nolan (Lowell, Mass.) and Ariel Gillis (Blackstone, Mass.).

The Bears are off until December 1st when they compete at the Little East Conference Championships hosted by UMass Dartmouth.
