CHICOPEE, Mass. – The Bridgewater State University women's swimming and diving team fell to host Elms College, 149-109, on Wednesday evening.
Sophomore Ashley Dunican (Bennington, Vt.) captured first place for the Bears in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:17.63.
Dunican also swam a leg on BSU's 200 medley relay team along with classmate Nelia Borden (Fall River, Mass.), senior Renee Marcos (Lakeville, Mass.) and freshman Kristen Carey (East Taunton, Mass.). The group posted a time of 2:19.04 to win the event.
The Bears (3-6) host a tri-match with Plymouth State University and Rhode Island College on Sunday afternoon at one.
