Phinney Wins Two Events as Women's Swimming Bows to Babson

BABSON PARK, Mass. -- The Bridgewater State University women's swimming and diving team dropped a 96-92 decision to Babson College on Thursday evening at the Morse Swimming Center.

Sophomore Loren Phinney (Holbrook, Mass.) paced the visiting Bears with a pair of individual event victories.  Phinney was the top finisher in the 1,000 freestyle with a time of 11:28.41, and also touched first in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:07.46.

Bridgewater drops to 1-12 in dual meet competition on the season while Babson improves to 4-6.

The Bears are off until Saturday, February 5th when they host a two o'clock dual meet with WPI.
