Women's Swim Team Places 10th at NEISDA Championships

NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. -- The Bridgewater State College women's swimming & diving team finished in 10th place out of a 21-team field at the New England Intercollegiate Swimming & Diving Association (NEISDA) Division II/III Championships held on the campus of UMass Dartmouth.

The Bears tallied 297 points during the three-day event.  Keene State College won the team title with 899 points followed by Bentley University (830) and Saint Michael's College (514).

Five BSC swimmers and one relay team were in Sunday evening's finals.

Junior Bryn Morwick (Indianapolis, IN) captured All-NEISDA honors for the third time as she placed third in the 1,650 freestyle with a time of 18:48.32.  Mowick also earned All-NEISDA honors in the 200 individual medley on Friday night and in the 400 individual medley on Saturday night.

Senior Sarah Fuller (Palmer, MA) posted a tenth place finish in the 100 freestyle (:57.32), while fellow senior Erica Robinson (Lynn, MA) was ninth in the 50 backstroke (:30.62).  Freshman Jennifer Jason (Montague, MA) also placed 11th in the 100 individual medley (1:08.40), while senior Meghan Kennedy (Dracut, MA) fnished in 17th place in the 1,650 freestyle (20:08.73).

The 400 freestyle relay team of Fuller, Robinson, Jason and Morwick was ninth in the event with a time of 3:52.99.
