BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- The Bridgewater State College women's swim team posted six event wins as the Bears downed Gordon College, 96-67, this evening from the Mary Jo Moriarty Pool in Bridgewater.

The Bears remain undefeated on the season as they improve to 5-0 in dual meet action.  The final score of the meet was also misleading as the Bears would have placed first in four other events but swam those as exhibitions.

Junior Jillian Coache (New Bedford, MA) and freshman Liz Foss (Dedham, MA) each scored a pair of first place finishes.  Coache placed first in the 200 butterfly (2:20.16) while Foss won the 100 individual medley (1:10.38).  They also swam on the winning 400 medley relay team (4:33.15) along with freshmen Samantha Morrissey (Lowell, MA) and Lindsey Hatton (Westfield, MA).

Also garnering first place finishes for the Bears were junior Katrina Scholtz (Amesbury, MA) in the 1,000 freestyle (12:22.56), freshman Liz Cremin (Andover, MA) in the 50 freestyle (:27.30), and sophomore Bryn Morwick (Indianapolis, IN) in the 100 freestyle (:57.70).

The Bears travel to Plymouth State University on Wednesday, December 12th for a 6 o'clock meet with the Panthers.
