Women's Soccer

Scott Dolan joined the Bridgewater State women’s soccer coaching staff in the summer of 2014.  Scott, who is also the West Academy Director for CS United, has a wealth of experience working with academies and youth teams.  In 2011, he received his National Youth License from US Youth Soccer, and was previously a staff coach for NEFC, where he focused on youth development.  The owner and operator of the South Shore Player Development Academy which specializes in training youth players for the higher level, Scott has had several players go on to train with the Massachusetts Olympic Development Program.

Scott started his coaching career in 1994 being named an assistant coach for the Massasoit Community College men's soccer team.  The season was highlighted with an appearance in the National Final Four. After his year at Massasoit Community College he was named head coach for the Mansfield High School girl’s soccer program. After three straight tournament appearances, Scott returned to the collegiate ranks in 1998 as a goalkeeper/assistant coach for the Stonehill College women's soccer team. In 2000, his goalkeeper was named an NSCAA All-American and in 2007 was inducted into the Stonehill College Hall of Fame.  During the 1999 and 2000 seasons, Scott also served as head coach for the Norton High School girl's soccer program, making two straight state tournament appearances for the first time in the program’s history.  In 2004, Scott was named an assistant coach for the nationally ranked Wheaton College women's soccer team. His three seasons at Wheaton was highlighted in 2004 with an appearance in the National Final Four.

Scott's premier club experience started in 1997 when he was named to the Charles River United coaching staff for three seasons. After a four year absence from club soccer, Scott returned in 2003 to coach for the Rhode Island Rays Girl’s Soccer Club. During his six year tenure, he coached four state champions and also served as assistant coach to the Rhode Island Lady Rays of the W-League. In 2009, Scott served as a head coach and goalkeeper coach for South Shore Select for two seasons before joining NEFC in 2011.

Over the years, Scott's former players went on to play at the Division I, II and III collegiate levels, with six of them being regonized as All-Regional players by the NSCAA. Over the years, Scott has privately trained local goalkeepers in the area. He has had five of his goalkeepers go on to play at the Division I level.
