Logan Levesque Named MASCAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the second time this season, Bridgewater State University sophomore goalkeeper Logan Levesque has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.

Levesque made 15 saves and posted an .882 save percentage as well as a 1.00 goals against average in a perfect 2-0 week for the Bears. The Bristol, Rhode Island product turned aside 11 shots in a 2-1 comeback win over Westfield State University as the Bears clinched the top seed and at least a share of the MASCAC regular season title. She also made four saves in a 2-1 victory over UMass Dartmouth.

In 12 games this season, Levesque is 8-4 with four shutouts and a 1.22 goals against average in 1,033-plus (1033:47) minutes of work. She has turned aside 68 shots and currently sports an .829 save percentage.

Levesque presently leads the MASCAC in goals against average and is also third in both minutes played and save percentage as well as fifth in saves.

In 28 games (all starts) over her first two seasons with the Bears, Levesque is 18-9-1 with 11 career shutouts, 151 saves and an .812 save percentage. She has also posted a 1.27 goals against average to date in 2,473-plus (2473:47) minutes of action.

Levesque also earned the MASCAC weekly honor back on September 11th.

The BSU women's soccer team is currently 9-5 on the season and a perfect 6-0 in the MASCAC. The Bears travel to UMass Boston on Wednesday night for a seven o'clock game with the Beacons.
