Four Bears Named to All-MASCAC Women's Soccer Team

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Four Bridgewater State University student-athletes have been voted to the 2022 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Soccer All-Conference Team by the league's eight head coaches.

Senior midfielder Delaney Langton and junior defender Megan Keller were both selected to the All-MASCAC First Team, while senior forward Michelle Belcher and freshman goalkeeper Logan Levesque each garnered All-MASCAC Second Team honors.

Langton is making her second straight appearance on the All-MASCAC First Team. She was also selected as the MASCAC Rookie of the Year back in 2018. Keller and Belcher are making their second straight appearance on the all-conference team. Keller earned second team accolades in 2021 while Belcher garnered first team honors. Belcher was also named to the All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference East First Team in 2019 while playing at Millersville University. 

Langton, who hails from Scituate, Rhode Island, recorded a goal and three assists for five points in 18 games this season. In 74 games over four seasons with the Bears, Langton tallied ten goals (one game-winner) and 11 assists for 31 career points.

Keller anchored the BSU defensive backfield in 2022 as the Bears posted a team goals against average of 1.33 and recorded seven shutouts in 18 games. The Northborough, Massachusetts native started 15 games and scored a goal. In 33 games over her first two seasons in a BSU uniform, Keller has two goals and three assists for seven points.

Belcher led the Bears in every offensive category for the second straight season as she notched 11 goals and ten assists for 32 points. Five of her 11 goals were game winners. The Norton, Massachusetts product tied for the MASCAC lead in assists, ranked second in game-winning goals and third in scoring, and tied for third in goals. In 56 games over three seasons of collegiate soccer, including one at Millersville, Belcher produced 31 goals (13 GWG) and 18 assists for 80 career points. She is tied for ninth among the Bears' all-time scoring leaders with 60 points (22G, 16A).

Levesque started 16 games between the pipes in her rookie campaign as she backstopped the Bears to ten wins and six shutouts. The Bristol, Rhode Island native posted a 1.31 goals against average in 1,440 minutes of work and notched 83 saves to go along with a .798 save percentage. Levesque led the MASCAC in wins and shutouts and ranked second in in minutes played She was also third in games started and fourth in goals against average. 

The BSU women's soccer team wrapped up the 2022 campaign with an overall record of 10-6-2. Seeded second in the MASCAC Tournament with a 5-1-1 conference mark, the Bears dropped a 2-1 decision to third-seeded Fitchburg State University in the tournament semifinal round.
