Logan Levesque Named MASCAC Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the third time this season, Bridgewater State University freshman goalkeeper Logan Levesque has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week.

Levesque went 2-0 with one shutout in two games between the pipes for the Bears last week. The Bristol, Rhode Island native posted a 0.50 goals against average with 18 saves and a .947 save percentage in 180 minutes of work. Levesque made eight saves in a 3-0 shutout victory of UMass Dartmouth, and turned aside ten shots in a 2-1 MASCAC win over Worcester State.

In ten games this season, Levesque is 8-1-1 with four shutouts. She has also recorded 51 saves and an .836 save percentage to go along with a 1.00 goal against average in 900 minutes of action.

Levesque currently leads the MASCAC in both wins and shutouts, and ranks second in goals against average and save percentage. She is also tied for third in minutes played as well as fourth in save percentage.

This marks the fourth time this season that the Bears have picked up the MASCAC Rookie of the Week accolade. Levesque also earned the honor on September 12th and September 26th, while junior midfielder Makenna Lessard (East Bridgewater, Mass.) garnered the honor on September 19th.

The BSU women's soccer team is currently 8-2-2 on the season and 3-0-1 in the MASCAC. The Bears travel to Tufts University on Wednesday afternoon for a five o'clock game with the nationally ranked (#18) Jumbos.
